Their prices can change, and several of them are not listed as a single number. This page does not invent a Subsplash quote.
| The Gathering | Subsplash, from their public pages | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | No platform subscription to use the app. | The Subsplash pricing page says Subsplash One is priced from church size and usage, and that you contact them for a package. It does not list one public monthly price. Their pricing FAQ says the price depends on size, features, and usage. |
| App | One shared church app on the web. Not a store app branded for each church. | Subsplash One's product page says every subscription includes a branded iOS and Android app, plus TV apps, managed from their dashboard. |
| Live video | You stream on YouTube. Go Live sends a LIVE NOW alert and opens a worship room. The Gathering does not host the video. | Their custom church app page says people can watch live streams inside the Subsplash app. We are not describing their encoder or pricing for that feature. |
| Giving | Stripe direct charges to the church's account. No Gathering application fee. Standard Stripe rates are estimated in the app. | Their pricing page lists online giving and donor tools inside the package. We are not quoting a Subsplash card rate, because we are not pinning a number they did not put on that pricing page. |
Subsplash is a wider platform, including tools such as child check-in on the plans they describe. The Gathering does not do check-in. It is the lighter, free church app.
Questions pastors ask
Is The Gathering a free alternative to Subsplash?
It is a lighter free church app. There is no platform fee right now. Subsplash's pricing page does not list one public monthly price (checked October 2026).
Can we move from Subsplash to The Gathering?
You can open a church here and invite members. The Gathering does not import a Subsplash app, and it does not host your video. Live video stays on YouTube.
How do giving fees compare?
The Gathering takes no platform cut right now. Gifts go to the church's Stripe account at standard processing rates. We are not quoting a Subsplash card rate, because their pricing page does not publish one simple rate.
